Looking for somewhere to stay in Mexico City? Hostel Regina is a fairly new hostel located just 5 minutes from the Zocalo.

Dorms are light and airy with large French windows overlooking the street and the bathrooms are spotless. There’s also a kitchen with plenty of fridge space and a restaurant downstairs that serves up delicious cooked breakfasts (included in the price).

We love the peaceful rooftop terrace (pictured below) – ideal for spending lazy afternoons in the sun. All it needs is a barbecue/and or bar and it would be perfect!

TOP TIP: If you’re travelling alone, or looking for a party vibe, you might want to try Hostel Moneda. Regina may be clean but it lacks social areas and staff have limited Spanish so you might feel a little isolated.
