Brighten up your August Bank Holiday with the spectacular Notting Hill Carnival in West London.

Watch as the streets come alive with the sounds and smells of typical Afro-Caribbean cultures. Beautiful dancers dressed head to toe in sequins parade through the streets, traditional steel drum bands play electrifying melodies and partygoers dance ’til dawn.

A healthy appetite is required as the carnival offers tantilising traditional Caribbean delicacies including jerk chicken, curried goat and rice and peas. Sound like thirsty work? The rum punch will sort you out…

Line-up

Sunday 28th August: Kids’ Day with prizes for best costume

Monday 29th August: Main parade usually begins on Great Western Road, then winds its way along Chepstow Road, on to Westbourne Grove, and then Ladbroke Grove.
