Think crashing waves, rugged cliffs and endless reams of blue sky. Hike up to The Heads, take a sunset boat cruise or stroll down to the harbour. If you’re lucky you might even see a whale!
If surfing’s your thing (and you’re not afraid of sharks) then you can’t miss Jeffreys Bay! The supertubes are legendary, the surf schools are intense and the atmosphere couldn’t get more laid back. Try and get there for the Billabong Surf Competition held every July.
Okay, so there’s not a great deal to see here BUT it’s the place to book cheap safaris to Scotchia Game Reserve and Addo Elephant Park (pictured above). This was the absolute highlight on my trip and I highly recommend!
The Wild Coast throws up all sorts of gems and Coffee Bay is one you can’t miss. Hike to the Hole in the Wall, grab a 2-hour surf lesson or enjoy sundowners on the cliffs. Need somewhere to stay? We have two words for you: Coffee Shack.
