An Easy Rider motorbike tour from Da Lat to Nha Trang  is one of the best things to do in Vietnam!

The 3-day trip showcases all the wonderful sights and attractions of Da Lat before taking you up into the mountains on a spectacular journey through tiny villages, roaring waterfalls and lush green rice paddies.

The road, which climbs up into the clouds, is also used by local buses. But on a bus, you can’t reach out and touch the waterfalls. You can’t feel the wind rush in your face. It’s wasted if you travel by bus!Easy Rider motorbike ride from Da Lat to Nha Trang - PHOTO - FabuWe were pretty unlucky with the weather but our drivers had ponchos, rain covers for our backpacks and plenty of jokes to keep us smiling.

After a chilly morning driving past several coffee plantations, we pulled over at a roadside cafe and ordered traditional Vietnamese coffee. It was everything we need needed: hot, sweet and strong!

Fortunately the weather improved on our descent and it was a truly magical experience with breathtaking views.Riding on the back of an Easy Rider motorbike - Da Lat to Nha Trang - PICTURE - Fabulous

Is it safe to do an Easy Rider Tour?

Worried it’s not safe to go on the back of a motorbike in Vietnam? You’re not alone! But trust me when I say: these drivers are veterans. They have powerful bikes, years of experience and will go at the speed you are comfortable with.

We were lucky enough to go with the Original Da Lat Easy Rider Club and my driver, Mr Duc (pictured), was friendly, fun and always checked to see if I was okay!

However, it’s important you do your research before you book. There are many ‘Easy Rider’ drivers – or at least people claiming to be – so choose a reputable company with experienced drivers. Trip Advisor is your best bet!

Also, make sure you check your insurance policy before you sign up for anything!
