This has to be one of our favourite videos from #travelsisters vlogger Abbey Rae Wilson! After missing out on her trip to India, Abbey finds herself celebrating Holi Festival with new friends on an idyllic beach in China. Go girl.

“In order to embrace change, get out of my comfort zone and meet new people, I went to a singles night, here in China,” Abbey says.

“This night brought me so many new friends. One of whom invited me to join his Indian community for a beach party to celebrate ‘Holi’ the festival of colours.

“The fact that I’d hoped and partially planned to be in India for Holi Festival this year, made me jump at the chance to catch a glimpse of what I was missing and I guess it just put it all into perspective: we are always where we need to be.”

Holi is a Hindu spring festival in India and Nepal, also known as the festival of colours or the festival of sharing love. Holi starts on the Purnima (Full Moon day) which falls between the end of February and March.
